PERCENTAGE EXPORT GROWTH OF THE WORLD

  • Total Export of Leather sector increased from the US $ 89.16 billion in 2006 to US $ 98.23 billion in 2006. 10.2% increase depicts the increased sales before the global economic recession. In 2007 the world export increased by 13.2% and by 2008 the percentage increase of the total world export started falling .This decline attributes to overall decline in sale of Leather articles and garments due to global financial recession.
