Naphthalene based retanning agent (syntan)

EPIZOTAN  FP2 is a weakly acid, naphtalene based synthetic retanning agent which is used in any type of leather. It has a very good filling effect on loose parts like bellies and shanks.

Application

EPIZOTAN  FP2 imparts the leather a very good filling. If used together the Epizotan FF7 or vegetable tanning agents, it’ll have bleaching effect on dye.

 It is recommended alone or in combination with other chemicals for white crusts.

 EPIZOTAN  FP2 can be used in neutralisation with other neutralizing agents like sodium formate and bicarbonate to decrease the superficial deposition of retanning materials. The consumption rate varies with the type of leather and is about 1-7% (based on the shaved weight) after neutralization and dyeing.

 EPIZOTAN  FP2 also has very good dispersing effect on dyestuffs, amino resins and replacement syntans.
